Boyd Begley

Boyd Begley, 95, of Somerset, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born in Confluence, Kentucky on May 18, 1924; son of the late Estes & Ida (Wells) Begley. He worked as a lab technician for Formica Co. and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. He was also a veteran of the United States Army and member of American Legion Post # 38.

He is survived by a daughter, Doris Jean Mitchell of Greenfield, Ohio; three grandchildren, Angie Jones, Susan Davis, & Wilson Davis; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna (Fischer) Begley; a daughter, Diane Sue Begley; four brothers, Henry, Wm. P., Hershall, & Walter Begley; and a sister, Helen Begley.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bros. Stephen Griffis & Mike Griffis officiating.

Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post # 38.

Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Monday, December 30, 2019 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
