Bernice Smith, 82, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018.
She was born in King Bee, Kentucky on January 5, 1936, daughter of the late Marvin and Ruby Hall Dick. She retired from Palm Beach as a seamstress and was a life long member of Science Hill Church of the Nazarene. She loved camping and cooking for her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, William Harry Smith, who died on May 26, 2014, her parents, one son, Allen, two daughters, Wilda and Wilma and sisters, Brenda Crawford, Linda Phelps and Fern Eastham.
She is survived by three children, William Darrell & (Sherry) Smith, Marvin Carroll & (Mackelene) Smith and Cheryl & (Rick) Hunter.
Darrell's family consists of daughters, Tracy & (Weston) Lackey, Michelle & (Eric) Davis and Tiffany & (Ronnie) Dishman, son, Alan Dobbs, grandchildren, Simon Lackey, Madison Davis, Dean Davis, Sara Davis, Josh Dishman, Shaylee Dishman, Macy Dishman, Hunter Dishman, Colton Dishman, Connor Dishman, Abri Dobbs and Andrew Dobbs.
Marvin Carroll's family consists of two sons, Alex David & (Cheryl) Smith and William Allen Smith.
Cheryl Hunter's family consists of her children, Beverly & (Mike) McQuain, Chad & (Tatjana) Golden, grandchildren, Julie Shelton, Turner McQuain, Trinity Draughn, Chelsea Golden and Eli Golden.
Bernice is also survived by one sister, Reva Dye.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Dr. Curtis Sellers officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
