Bernice Barber

Bernice Barber, 92, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.She was born in Bethelridge, Kentucky on October 11, 1925, daughter of the late Joe and Florence Debord Ashley. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethelridge United Methodist Church.She is survived by two sons, Wayne Barber of Smiths Grove, KY and Stephen Barber of Eubank, one daughter, Donna & (David) Schmidt of London, KY, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Barber, who died on September 9, 2009, her parents, five brothers, Kenneth, Bartle, Stanley, Lewis and Paul Ashley and one sister, Inez Ashley Wall.A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Green officiating.Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery.Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.The family requests donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the Bethelridge Cemetery Fund.Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
