Barbara Slone

Barbara Slone, 72, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

Barbara was born on November 7, 1953, to the late Adrian and Reba (Lewis) Goble in Floyd County, Kentucky. She had a gentle spirit and a love for simple joys-crocheting, reading, collecting antiques, and spending weekends exploring yard sales. She also enjoyed raising puppies, caring for them with the same warmth she showed to everyone she met.

A natural caregiver, Barbara devoted much of her life to helping others, offering support, comfort, and kindness wherever it was needed. On May 12, 1971, she married the love of her life, Ralph "Buddy" Slone, and together they built a beautiful family.

She is survived by her three children, Kirby & (Sherry) Slone, Jody & (Melissa) Slone, and Shannon Slone; two grandchildren, Shelby Lowery and Taylor & (Caden) Edwards; her brothers, Ronnie & (Arlene) Goble and Junior & (Kim) Goble; her sisters, Norma & (Earl) Hall and Wanda & (Dennis) Osborne; a sister-in-law, Annabelle Goble; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brother, David Goble; and her sisters, Sherry Williamson, Linda Goble, and Shelva Jean Goble.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 7, 2025 in the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dusty York officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until time for services.
