Barbara Partin, 72, of Somerset, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Cumberland Nursing & Rehab.

She was born in Barbourville, Kentucky on August 27, 1948; daughter of the late Charles and Telitha Godbey Bays. She was a member of West Science Hill Baptist Church, and a loving wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband, Claude Partin, whom she married on October 9, 1965; her two daughters, Debbie & (Wal) da Silva and Bonita & (Jeff) Stringer both of Somerset; two sisters, Alice Jeanette & (Tony) Braun and Carol Bays Toschlog both of Cincinnati; three brothers, Charles Roger & (Darlene) Bays of Harrison, OH., Leonard Ray Bays of Science Hill, and Archie Glenn & (Marcia) Bays of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, Wendy & (Ryan) Price, Gary & (Sasha) Gossett, and Ethan Daniel da Silva; two great-grandchildren, Conner Ryan Price, and Blakelynn Nicole Price; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Effie Joyce Maiden.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Eggers officiating.

Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Estesburg, KY.

Visitation will be from 4:30 PM to 7 PM Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after 9 AM Wednesday.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
