Barbara Jean Hamilton

Ms. Barbara Jean Wilson Hamilton, 85, of Somerset, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at her residence.

She was born in Lewisburg, TN on June 19, 1935; daughter of the late Ellis Lee and Lillian Henry Ritchey Wilson. She was a retired Florist.

She is survived by her son, Donald "Skip" Buford, Jr., & (Sandra) of Sumter, SC; a sister, Hilda Wilson of Science Hill; two brothers, Robert Wilson of Paris, KY., and Gene Wilson of Somerset; a son-in-law, Gene Lowery of Richmond; eight grandchildren, Seth Buford, Aaron Buford, Angela Buford, Matthew Buford, Christopher Lowery, Andy Lowery, Nikki Lowery, and Trey Bolton; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by, her husband, Henry Hamilton, whom she married on August 30, 1984, and who passed on April 3, 2014; a daughter, Lisa Kay Lowery; her parents; brothers, Ernie Wilson, Buddy Wilson, & Walter Wilson.

A funeral service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Hughes officiating.

Pallbearers are Kenny Wilson, Robbie Wilson, Hobie Wilson, Mike Wilson, Greg Wilson, & Bud Wilson.

Honorary Pallbearers are Chris Lowery, Andy Lowery, Seth Buford, Aaron Buford, & Matthew Buford.

Interment will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Lexington Cemetery.

Visitation for Ms. Barbara Jean Wilson Hamilton will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
