Avery Phillip Kissee

Avery Phillip Kissee, 79, of King George, VA, formerly of the Ingle Community, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017. He was born in Ingle, KY on June 19, 1938, the son of the late Doris Kissee Burkett. He was a supervisor for a construction company and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Peyton, four daughters, Renee & (Jason) Lanctot and Sabrina Kissee, both of Las Vegas and two daughters of Florida, brother, Willis "Tom" Burkett & (Sharlet) of Eubank, sisters, Mereda Moore & (George) and Patricia Vaught & (Arthur), both of Science Hill and Shelia Baker & (Vernon) of Somerset, seven grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Franklin "Sonny" Burkett.A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Tyler Ford officiating.Burial will be in Cedar Point Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38.Visitation will be after 9 AM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
