Lewis Spears

Lewis Spears, 82, of Somerset, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born September 1, 1940 in Bethelridge; son of the late Ira & Ora (Watson) Spears.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy (Hodge) Spears; children, Debbra Dianna & (Jerry) Byrd of Elmwood, Ohio, Becky & (Sammy) Warren, and Beth & (Damien) Brown, both of Somerset, Kentucky; grandchildren, Nicole & (Todd) Witt, Krystal & (Kevin) Wagoner, both of Ohio, Stephanie & (Cody) Sears, Logan Collins, Crystal Yocom, Kaylan, Aiden, Cameron, & London Brown, all of Somerset, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Dillon, Hudson, Dean, Whitney, Lily, Bristol, Camilla, Zayden, Carter, Kinlee, & Ainslee; siblings, Tom & (Wilma) Spears, Stella Walker, Mary Lou Arnette, Freeda Wesley; and siblings-in-law, Lawrence, Rita, Shirley, & Linda.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 infant sons, Dexter & Clifford Spears; siblings, Delbert, Homer, Stanley, Beulah, Jean, Willis, & Dale; and brother-in-law, Junior.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, February 20, 2023, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Burnett officiating.

Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Monday, February 20, 2023, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
