Amanda York

Amanda Faye Collins York, 54, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Amanda was born on June 27, 1970 to Mabel Eldridge Collins and the late Chester Collins, Jr in Somerset, KY. After graduating from Pulaski County High School, Amanda worked for 29 years at American Greetings, Corporation in payroll and time keeping in Danville, KY. She enjoyed quilting, custom embroidery work, camping with her husband and friends at Holmes Bend, going to Jekyll Island, and playing with her beloved dog Lilly.

She was a lifelong member of Beulah First Church of God, Eubank Kentucky.

She is survived by her husband, Winford York; two sisters, Jessica Kaye (Vernon Kenneth) Hall of Science Hill, KY, Wendy Gaye (Monte) Monsanto of Eubank, KY, and one brother Jonathan (Jan) Collins, Somerset, KY.

Father-in-law Sylvia Winford York, brother in laws Eugene (Teresa) York, Larry York, James (Teresa) York, and sister in laws Ann (Eugene) Meece and Edith (Bruce) Johnson.

Nieces and nephews Sarah (Jacob) Hall Keith, Zachary Hall, Grace and Hannah Monsanto, Jonah and Janah Collins, Erica (Bryan) Kaufman, Reva (Chris) Pike, Jeffrey York, Travis (Casey) Meece, Cody (Paige) Johnson, Krista (Dale) Haste, Nicholas York. Several great nieces and nephews with one special great niece born on her birthday this year.

She was preceded in death by her father Chester Collins, Jr. and mother-in-law Ella Maude York.

A funeral service will be held at 11am, Friday, July 12th at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Rev. Jessica Hall officiating.

Burial will be at Eubank Cemetery in Eubank, KY

The family will receive friends at 4pm Thursday, July 11, 2024 .
