Alma McDonald, 88, of Eubank, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Jean Waddle Care Center.
She was born on October 22, 1934 in Pulaski County. She was the daughter of the late Oather and Martha Ping Evans. She was a devoted wife to the late Ivan McDonald, and wonderful mother and grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a charter member of Floyd Switch Baptist Church, where she attended. Alma was a previous owner of MCDonald Hardware.
She is survived by a daughter, Vicki & (Billy) Brake of Eubank, a son, Kevin McDonald of Eubank, a sister, Mildred McWilliams of Eubank; three grandchildren, Justin & (Tosha) Brake of Eubank, Jason & (Julia) Brake of Maryland, and Megan McDonald of Somerset, one great-granddaughter, Elanor Brake of Eubank, and was expecting a second great-granddaughter, Lucia in June. She leaves behind many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan McDonald and brothers Wilmer Evans, Delmas Evans, and sisters, Hazel Fields, Violet Bell, Mary Losie Bishop, Betty Abbott, and Maxine McCord.
She was a UK Basketball fan and a good rook player and loved being outside and most of all spending time with her family.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating.
Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
