Virginia Pauline "Polly" Johnson

Virginia Pauline "Polly" Johnson, 75, of Somerset, Kentucky, formerly of Eubank, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Beech Grove, Kentucky on February 28, 1934, daughter of the late Cyrus and Sylvia White West. She was a homemaker. She is survived by five sons, James & (Mary) Gossett and Doug & (Pam) Henderson, both of Nancy, John & (Lynn) Gossett of Bowling Green, KY, Cariol & (Teresa) Gossett of Somerset and Donald & (Sandy) Gossett of Jabez, four daughters, Ellie & (Jessie) Norfleet of Crab Orchard, Sheila & (Jim) Noakes of Eubank, Roxie & (Jr.) Barron of Somerset and Joetta & (Chris) Davis of Jabez, one sister, Elizabeth & (Charles) Brinegar of Beech Grove, twenty nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and a very loving family at Sunrise Manor. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jackie Thomas Gossett, one daughter, Retha Kaye Gossett, daughter-in-law, Jennie Gossett, one sister, Flora "Rennie" Raines and three brothers, John Marion, Howard and Charlie West. A funeral service will be held at 1PM Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Sweet Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
