Johnny Ray Campbell

Johnny Ray Campbell, 79, of Burnside, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Hargis, Kentucky on December 26, 1937, son of the late Oscar and Lucy Marie Blankenship Campbell. He was a real estate agent and a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean war. He was a member of AM Vets. He is survived by one son, Johnny Ray Campbell, Jr. & (Wendy) of Somerset, one daughter, Renee Carrender & (Chris Rotino) of Burnside, one brother, Kenny Campbell of Science Hill, grandchildren, Keshia & (Kevin) Bickford Kelsey Campbell and Johnny Ray "Trey" Campbell, III. and great-grandchildren, Kenzie Bickford and Kaylee Bickford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dena Campbell, his parents and four brothers, James Archie Campbell, William Campbell, Henry Campbell, and Charlie Campbell. A funeral service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Bickford officiating. Visitation will be after 5 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the University of Kentucky Children's Hospital. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
