Mittie Carol Childers Shepperd, 63, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on October 10, 1953, daughter of Lela King Childers and the late William "Bill" Childers. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Dana & (Jamie) Warren of Science Hill, Leeann & (Bryan) Welles and Claudette & (John) Prather, both of Somerset, her mother, Lela Childers of Somerset, two brothers, Billy & (Vicki) Childers of Versailles, KY and Gerald & (Sheilah) Childers of Eubank, sister-in-law, Charlene Childers of Somerset, her beloved grandchildren, Brittany & (Landon) Brown, Haley Warren, both of Science Hill, Jackson Prather, Whitlee Brinson and Ashtyn Welles, all of Somerset and several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Childers and one brother, Cliff Childers. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, July 10, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Muse officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 AM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
