Joy Ellen "Patty" Haste

Joy Ellen "Patty" Haste, 71, of Science Hill, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at her residence. Patty was born in the Vaught Ridge community on October 30, 1945, daughter of the late Jarvis and Virginia Godby Vaught. Patty was a homemaker, a wife, a mother and a wonderful grandmother. She enjoyed cooking meals for her family, working in her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Jacksonville Baptist Church. Patty is survived by her son, Greg & (Carolyn) Haste of Science Hill, two grandchildren, Ella Jane Haste and Layne Allen Haste and one sister, Ruby Bolin of Nancy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Carroll Thomas Haste, two infant children, Carroll Thomas Haste and Carroll Todd Haste, her parents and one brother, Frank Vaught. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Mrs. Joy Ellen "Patty" Haste Memorial Fund. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
