Leroy Mike Barron

Leroy Mike Barron, 83, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on October 25, 1933, son of the late William "Tump" and Catherine Denney Barron. He was a retired mechanic for Warner Fertilizer and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He is survived by two sons, John & (Kathy) Barron of Stockton, CA and Mike & (Theresa) Barron of Yreka, CA, two brothers, George Barron of Somerset and Willard Barron of Dayton, OH, one sister, Erlene Bullock of Somerset, three grandchildren, Kathryn & (Chuck) Baker, Sarah Barron and Brandon Wingfield and three great-grandchildren, Kyrsten, Benny and Ezekiel. He is also survived by his two munchies whom he loved, Rosie and Weenie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Roasio Barron, who died on October 27, 2011, his parents, one son, Dan Barron, four brothers, Lester, Denton, Clarence and Oscar Barron and three sisters, Mary Sutton, Damie McKenzie and Freeda Alexander. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Eden Cemetery with Bro. Kenny Daulton officiating. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
