Edna Jewell Cox

Edna Jewell Cox, 94, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Stanford Care and Rehab. She was born in Eubank, Kentucky on January 29, 1923, daughter of the late James S. and Ophia E. Smiley Evans. She was a graduate of Eubank High School. She was a retired employee of General Electric and a member of First Apostolic Church of Somerset. She is survived by one son, Dennis W. Cox of Eubank, one daughter, Linda S. Cox of Orlando, FL, four grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel, Jamie and Paul and one great-grandchild, Fino Christopher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond U. Cox, who died on July 8, 2002, her parents and one sister, Iva Mae Berter. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, April 21, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Cox officiating. Burial will be in Etna Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 Noon Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the First Apostolic Church of Somerset. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
