Debbie L. Colwell

Debbie L. Colwell, 55, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on November 10, 1961; daughter of the late Dewey David Skeens and Bonnie Jean Watts Skeens. She was a nurse aide for Hilltop Rest Home; she was of the Church of Chirst faith. She is survived by her husband, Marty Colwell, Sr.; a son, Marty Colwell, II; two daughters, Melissa Prewitt & (Charles Williamson), and Flora & (Tony) Hall both of Somerset; three brothers, Nathan & (Karen) Skeens of Hazard, Gerald Skeens of Somerset, and Gary Skeens of Hyden; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. A private service for family and friends will be held. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
