Farrel Blanton

Farrel Blanton, 66, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Stanford, Kentucky on December 15, 1950, son of the late John and Elsie Chadwell Blanton. He was owner and operator of Blanton Mobile Home Service and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Hancock Blanton of Somerset, three children, Davy & (Kim) Blanton of Eubank, Melissa & (Barry) Shelton of Baxter, TN and Marty Nicholas of Tateville, KY, two brothers, James Blanton of Nancy and Eugene Blanton of Stanford, KY, two sisters, Floria Rene Messer and Sharon Clausen, both of Ottenheim, KY, four grandchildren, Skyler, Kaitlynn, Abigail and Brandi. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John Blanton, Jr. and two sisters, Gloria Jean Rogers and Loretta Smith. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ernie Wyatt officiating. Burial will be in Valley Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
