Maxine Elsie Sims

Maxine Elsie Sims, 91, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Cumberland Nursing & Rehab. She was born in War, West Virginia on March 21, 1925, daughter of the late Elmer and Dena Lee Young Bitner. She was a homemaker. She is survived by three sons, Jimmy Dale & (Joan) Sims of Indianapolis, IN, Randy & (Mona) Sims and Danny & (Mary Jane) Sims, both of Kings Mountain, daughter-in-law, Gloria Jean Sims of Indiana, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Sims, her parents, one son, Bobby Sims, two brothers, Marvin Bitner and Edward Lee Bitner and one sister, Ruby Turner. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, March 20, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Sims officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
