Edna "Irene" Adkins

Edna "Irene" Adkins, 83, of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017. She was born in Monticello, Kentucky on December 23, 1933, daughter of the late John Hnrey Doss and Maude Sumpter. She was a homemaker. She is survived by five children, Fred & (Sandy) Adkins, Randall & (Cookey) Adkins, Jerry & (Jeannie) Adkins, Martha Adkins and Cathy & (Bill) Dishman, four siblings, Nancy Lowe, Carl & (Naomi) Doss, Jerry Doss and Henrey Doss, twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Adkins, her parents and two siblings, Shirley Sexton and Buddy Doss. A private service will be held at a later date. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
