Della Christine Hargis Godbey, 85, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Pulaski County, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on July 11, 1931, daughter of the late Virgil and Martha Barlow Hargis. She was retired from Frito Lay. She was the devoted loving mother of Beverly Sue and Betty Lou & (Jerry); cherished grandmother of Johnnie Jr., Chrystal, Thomas and Angeliek; loving great-grandmother of Johnnie III, Taylor, Reagan, Ryan, Greg, Sarah, Katelyn, Felesha, Thomas, Jr., Ashley, Christian and Cierra. Loving great-great-grandmother of Kylee, Neveah and Lydia and the beloved aunt of many. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Godbey, one son, Johnnie Duwayne, brothers and sisters, Arlin & (Mary), Charles & (Wanda), Bill & (Zora/Juanita), Nannie & (Bill), Noel & (Daisy) and Ollie, nephew, Donald Ray Hargis & (Nancy). A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in Crab Orchard, KY. Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
