Rebecca Richardson Diamond Sears, 96, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the home of her daughter. She was born in Naomi, Kentucky on April 14, 1920, daughter of the late Harlan and Effie Tarter Richardson. She was the oldest living member of Eubank Baptist Church. Her Christian faith was the most important part of her life. She was baptized on August 20, 1933. Rebecca loved to travel and be with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Irene Keith and Janie & (Walter) Smith, both of Eubank, step children, Carol & (Charles) Gibson and Darrell & (Bonnie) Sears, step daughter-in-law, Carol Sears, grandchildren, Terry & (Sharon) Keith, Tammy & (Gerald) Cash, Melissa & (Billy) Sims, Denise & (Brian) Miniard and Paul & (Stephanie) Smith, great-grandchildren, Terra Childers, Heather Todd, Meranda Jones, Whitney Cash, Branson Hall, Brayden Sims, Tyler Miniard, Hannah Miniard, Micah Miniard, Lucas Smith and Lauren Smith, great-great-grandchildren, Reagan, Rhett, Jacob, Caleb, Mason, Lakelyn and Kaydence, two sisters-in-law, Betty Richardson and Dorothy Diamond Deitz & (Richard) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ashley Diamond, whom she married on September 20, 1939 and who passed on June 10, 1966, her second husband, Eugene Sears, whom she married in May of 1974 and who passed on May 26, 2010, her parents, siblings, H.K. Richardson, Kathleen Ogborn and Evelyn Hudson, beloved son-in-law, Denver Keith and step son, David Sears. Visitation will be at Eubank Baptist Church from 12 Noon to 2 PM Saturday, December 31, 2016 with services to follow. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday at Eubank Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg, KY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to the Eubank Baptist Church Building Fund or Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
