Etna McKinney

Etna McKinney, 92, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on September 10, 1924, daughter of the late Charlie and Lottie Denney DeBord. She was a homemaker and a retired worker of Oakwood. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Glenda & (Miles) Ashley of Science Hill and Carrol Denney of Somerset, one son, Denver & (Marlene) McKinney of Eubank, daughter-in-law, Gail McKinney of Casey County, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. McKinney, who died on April 30, 1998, one son, Bobby McKinney, one grandson, Allen McKinney, three sisters, Mattie Lovins, Irene Hood and Clara Mae Denney and two brothers, Joe DeBord and Carter DeBord. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Damon Jones officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Willailla. Visitation will be after 5:30 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
