Mildred Abel Buis

Mildred Abel Buis, 94, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Somerwoods Nursing & Rehab. She was born in Gilpin, Kentucky on November 26, 1921, daughter of the late Ed and Lillian Watson Abel. She was a retired certified nursing assistant for Home Health and a member of Eubank Church of Christ since 1951. She is survived by three children, Bonnie Taylor of Waynesburg, KY, Bernal & (Peggy) Buis of Eubank and Sandy & (Eugene) Wilson of Science Hill, seven grandchildren, Tommy & (Kim) Taylor, Tim & (Dana) Taylor, Allen & (Adrienne) Buis, Shanda & (Kenny) Catron, Bryan & (Karen) Wilson, Terry Wilson and Jeff & (Tammy) Wilson, sixteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Buis, whom she married on August 26, 1939 and who died on June 21, 2004, her parents, son-in-law, Dolphus Taylor, three brothers, Denver, Lester and Howard, two sisters, Chelsie and Dorothy and one grandchild, Amanda Wilson. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Josh McKibben and Bro. Dale Robins officiating. Burial will be in Rich Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
