Stella G. (DeBord) Pence

Stella G. "Crickett" "Granny" DeBord Pence, daughter of the late Walter and Mattie Taylor DeBord, was born in Bloss, Kentucky on April 7, 1925 and departed this life on April 3, 2006 at the age of 80 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Jacksonville Baptist Church. She is survived by five sons, Tim & (Geneva) Pence of Somerset, Roy "Bimbo" & (Wilma) Pence of Somerset, Marion & (Emily) Pence of Eubank, Robert "Catfish" Pence of Eubank, Buddy & (Billie Jo) Pence of Somerset, seven daughters, Norma & (Dennis) Carlton of Eubank, Joyce Pence of Eubank, Shirley & (James) Hoover of Brodhead, Kathy & (Daniel) Lykins of Georgetown, Karen & (John) Smiley of Eubank, Fern Prather of Science Hill, Velma Fayrene Malone of Amarillo, TX and three sisters, Pauline Rainwater of Indianapolis, IN, Ruby Silvers of Bedford, IN and Jennie Alexander of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Marion Pence, who died on July 26, 1995, her parents, a son, David Dewayne Pence, a daughter, Martha Elizabeth Pence, her brothers, Berl, Cecil and James DeBord, her sisters, Wilma, Imogene, Evelyn, Eva and a set of triplets, a granddaughter, Tracey Jean Pence and a grandson, Oscar William Moore. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Jacksonville Baptist Church with Bro. Gale Durham officiating. Burial will be in Etna Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
