Gladstone Godbey, 79, of Bethelridge, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Liberty Care Center. He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on November 6, 1936, son of the late William Kelly and Lydia Moore Godbey. He was retired from Hinkle Construction. He is survived by his wife, Ila Haste Godbey of Bethelridge, one son, Dexter & (Chandra) Godbey of Bethelridge, two daughters, Rita Coffey of Somerset and Sharon & (Bobby Joe) Webb of Eubank, two sisters, Jane of Bethelridge and Wanda of Somerset, six grandchildren, Nathan & (Crystal) Webb, Grant Webb, Ryan Godbey, Justin Coffey, Adam Godbey, Shelby Cook, and three great-grandchildren, Abby Webb, Boston Webb and Michael Coffey. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild, Jamie Michelle Coffey, three brothers, Luster, Ezra and Lowell Godbey and six sisters, Myrtle, Lela, Lois, Ruby, Sadie and Eunice. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Sweet officiating. Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
