Roy Lee "Bump" Taylor

Roy Lee "Bump" Taylor, 70, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015. He was born in Ansel, Kentucky on September 24, 1945, son of the late Doyle and Mary Price Taylor. He retired from Kingsford Charcoal. He was an avid UK basketball fan. He is survived by his wife, Janet Girdler Taylor of Somerset, two sons, Steve & (Sheila) Taylor and Brian & (Tonya) Taylor, both of Science Hill, one daughter, Angela & (Chris) Brown of Eubank, step daughter, Annette & (John Robert III) Heim of Charlotte, NC, four brothers, Carroll Taylor, Ralph & (Vina) Taylor, Dee & (Alberta) Taylor and Edward & (Faye) Taylor, grandchildren, Stephanie Taylor Rowe, Ashley Taylor, Dakota Taylor, Mary Heim, Hannah Heim, Jacob Taylor, Joseph Taylor, Keith Taylor, Todd Taylor, Julie Warren, Seth Brown and Ethan Brown and great-grandchildren, Coleson Taylor Rowe and Landon Rowe. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Amanda Lea Taylor, two brothers, John Taylor and Jim Taylor and one sister, Jerlene Harness. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dustin York officiating. Burial will be in Tanner Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
