Robert "Booger" Stanton

Robert "Booger" Stanton, 81, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center. He was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on September 12, 1934, son of the late William and Sudie Fields Stanton. He was a carpenter and a member of Pulaski Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Slagle Stanton of Eubank, one step son, Michael Dungan, three brothers, Lee & (Mattie) Stanton, Henry & (Berniece) Stanton and Fred & (Mary) Stanton, one sister, Helen Hager, two sisters-in-law, Juanita Stanton and Mary Stanton and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two step sons, Jack Dungan and Charles Dungan, two step daughters, Connie Dungan and Mary Ann Dungan, two brothers, Sam Stanton and Frank Stanton and three sisters, two who died in infancy and Bess Stanton. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 Noon Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
