Sarah Ethel Eastham

January 1, 1913 — January 11, 2006

Sarah Ethel Pitman Eastham, daughter of the late Daniel Gaither and Annie Bell York Pitman, was born in Poynter, Kentucky on January 1, 1913 and departed this life on January 11, 2006 at the age of 93 years. She was a homemaker, a member of Sardis Christian Church in Ansel and a member of Mintonville Methodist Church. Mrs. Eastham had resided on the coast since 1991. She was a member of Friends of the Library in Biloxi, MS, Wichita, KS, and Somerset, member of Goodwill Homemakers Club in Somerset, member of Rebecca Lodge #126 in Somerset, member of AARP and Senior Citizens Group. She is survived by two daughters, Eunice Conley of Biloxi, Mississippi and Clarice Ruby Williams of Wichita, Kansas, two sisters, Velma Sweet of Cincinnati and Winnie Dick of Science Hill, ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carol Ray Eastham, her parents, three brothers, Otha Pitman, Ralph Pitman and Andrew Pitman and a sister, Zella Estep. Funeral service will be at 11 AM Monday, January 16, 2006 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Randolph officiating. Burial in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation after 9 AM Monday. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
