David "Merv" Griffin

David "Merv" Griffin, 59, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center. He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on February 12, 1956, son of the late Leon and Pauline Bryant Griffin. He was a drywall installer for H & R Drywall in Nicholasville, KY for the past 30 years. He is survived by one daughter, Emma & (Garrett) Sylvester, two grandchildren, Ethan and Alyssa Sylvester, one brother, Eddie Paul & (Kathy) Griffin, two sisters, Brenda & (Gaylon) Leach and Lynda Smith, one brother-in-law, Fred Mullins, special friend, Robin Ritter, a host of nieces and nephews and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Pauline Bryant Griffin, one sister, Karen Mullins, brother-in-law, Lynnville Smith and nephew, Jason Mullins. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, August 17, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Mullins officiating. Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Nathan Smith, Adam Griffin, Terry Mullins, Larry Sears, Jon Floyd, Mike York, Doug York and Paul Dishon. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Wright and Steve Rowe. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
