Melvin "Leo" Ashley

Melvin "Leo" Ashley, 68, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab. He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on January 5, 1947, son of the late Virgil Lee and Sarah Ellen Shelton Ashley. He was a forklift operator for Monroe Pallet. He is survived by his wife, Flora Christine Dick Ashley of Somerset, two sons, Donald & (Karen) Ashley of Somerset and Mark & (Mitzi) Ashley of Eubank, one daughter, Patricia Ashley & (Bobby), four brothers, James & (Sue) Ashley, Delmer & (Donna) Ashley, Glenn & (Glenda) Ashley, Bobby (Regina) Ashley, three sisters, Brenda & (Melvin) Caldwell, Linda Padgett and Patsy & (Michael) Dick, six grandchildren, Hunter Ashley, Caleb Ashley, Ashley & (Eric) Lashley, Alisha Vaughn, Alex Estes and Ryan Ashley and three great-grandchildren, Chloe Vaughn, Mason Lashley and Brayden Lashley. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Robert Lee and Shirley May Ashley. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, August 17, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Ashley and Bro. Lester Randolph officiating. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
