Sadia Laughary

Sadia Laughary, 68, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Kings Mountain, Kentucky on November 2, 1946, daughter of the late Bruce and Martha Spears Singleton. She was a retired deputy jailer for the Pulaski County Detention Center and a member of Science Hill Christian Church. She is survived by one son, Michael Singleton of Science Hill, one daughter, Michelle Bannasch of Somerset, one step son, David Laughary of Englewood, FL, one step daughter, Cindi Hammond of New Port, MI, one sister, Linda Cardell of Lincoln Park, MI, seven grandchildren, six step grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer David Laughary, her parents and one grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, June 1, 2015 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gordy Prather officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Sadia Laughary Memorial Fund. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
