Marcia Dianne Patterson, 64, of Danville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015.
She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 6, 1950, the eldest daughter of the late Cleo and Martha Lucas Patterson. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Danville. She graduated from Stanford High School then attended Transylvania University and EKU, achieving a Masters in accounting.
Dianne was a tax manager for oil companies, a nanny and did missionary work with YWAM and Perspectives for a decade each respectively. She traveled to the Caribbean, Egypt, Israel, and the European nations doing mission work with Muslim families. Even while in a wheelchair, her compassionate heart allowed her to continue mission work in Kentucky.
She is survived by four siblings, Larry Patterson, Sr. (Vera) of Stanton, KY, Melinda Spencer (Donald) of Paducah, KY, Donna Floyd (Ricky) of Waynesburg, KY and Janet Stringer (Dennis) of Kings Mt., KY, 7 nieces and nephews and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in heaven's home going by her parents.
A visitation will be from 12 Noon to 1 PM Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Danville with a funeral service at 1 PM at the church with Bro. Tim Mathis and Bro. Kevin Floyd officiating.
A graveside service and burial will be held at 3:30 PM Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Falconbury Cemetery in Walltown, KY.
