Ruby Holly Combs

Ruby "Holly" Gayheart Combs, 90, a resident of Ohio Valley Manor, formerly of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 at Meadowview Regional Hospital. She was born in Upper Ball, Kentucky on April 30, 1924, the eight of nine children born to Molly Mann Gayheart and Alec Gayheart. On March 12, 1943, Ruby was married to Claude M. Combs. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2008. She is survived by Dan L. & (Kathy) Combs of West Union, OH, one grandson, Eric K & (Jane) Combs of Cincinnati, OH, one granddaughter, Mindy & (Josh) Basford of Cincinnati, OH, four great-grandchildren, Aidan Daniel, Natalie Ann, Bella Claire and Julia Camille and two sisters, Stella Begley and Evalee Vitatoe. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, October 6, 2014 at Mill Springs National Cemetery. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the West Union Presbyterian Church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
