Thelma Jean Hood

Thelma Jean Hood, 81, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab. She was born in Line Creek, Kentucky on May 15, 1933, daughter of the late Charlie and Cordia Bullock Hood. She was a homemaker and a member of Woodstock Baptist Church. She is survived by one nephew, Sonny & (Wilma) Hood, four nieces, Patricia & (Tom) Estep, Patsy & (Barry) Head, Peggy & (Steve) Hawkins and Penny York. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Chester Hood and Arthur Hood, two infant sisters, three half-brothers, Carlos Hood, Hubert Hood and Dennie Hood and one infant half-sister. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. The family requests donations may be made to the Eden Cemetery Fund. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
