Harold D Hurst

Harold D Hurst, 79, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on June 13, 1934, son of the late Arthur and Cleo Poteet Hurst. He was retired from General Electric and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and listening to music. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Korean war. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Eaton Hurst, whom he married on February 23, 1962, three sisters, Betty Jo Hensley of Elsmere, KY, Edith Shearer of Indianapolis, IN and Yvonne Ross of Nancy and several loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Willie Hurst, Everett Hurst and Ralph Hurst and three sisters, Martha Hurst, Flora Mae Brown and Louella O'Callahan. Private services will be held. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
