James W. "Jim" Price

James W. "Jim" Price, 89, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Ocala, Kentucky on May 26, 1923, son of the late James S. and Anna Warren Price. He was a retired truck driver from Eagle Express and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a farmer and a member of Nelson Valley Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Bernice Vaught Price, whom he married on April 16, 1946 in Norwood, KY, one son, Gary & (Barbie) Price of Somerset, two daughters, Brenda Taylor of Eubank and Connie & (Keith) Lawson of Somerset, six grandchildren, Wayne & (Mona) Taylor of Somerset, Scott Taylor of Eubank, Gary R. Price of Belleville, IL, Sherry Sharp of Somerset, Cody S. Casada of Somerset and Sydney Lawson of Somerset, seven great-grandchildren, Jordan Taylor, Lance Price, Layne Price, Tristan Williams, Quinton Sharp, Lily Price and Brendon Casada, brothers-in-law, Creston & (Pauline) Vaught of Somerset, James Vaught of Kettering, OH and Donald & (Joyce) Vaught of Waynesburg, KY, sisters-in-law, Virginia Spears and Midge & (Bill) Dye, both of Somerset, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Donald Taylor. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, November 9, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Grant Hardwick officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens with military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
