Ruth Dick

Ruth Dick, 88, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on June 20, 1923, daughter of the late Charlie and Hettie Wilson Elliott. She owned and operated a general store in Science Hill for 63 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Science Hill. She is survived by one son, Louie & (Jerry Rae) Dick of Science Hill, one grandchild, Charles Ray Dick, one great-grandchild, Anna Katherine Dick, & (her mother, Elizabeth Dick), four sisters-in-law, Hazel, Mable and Nancy Elliott and Pauline Dick and special friend, Ola Dick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arl Dick and three brothers, Jonas, Paul and Carroll Elliott A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Watts, Bro. Eddie Massey and Bro. Thurston Mounce officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
