Shirley J. Evans, 71, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Somerset Nursing & Rehabilitation.
She was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on September 28, 1940, daughter of the late Jessie Coleman and Leila Gertrude Vice Evans. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, William Garrett and Byron Brasett, two daughters, Kimberly King and Linda Evans, three sisters, Juanita & (Edward F.) Tapper of Kutztown, PA, Elizabeth M. Wells of Stanford, KY and Amaryllis Rose Day of Mayberry, NC.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday, January 27, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at Elizaville Cemetery in Fleming County, Kentucky at 3 PM Saturday, January 28, 2012 with Bro. David Grambrel officiating.
Burial will be in Elizaville Cemetery.
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
