Clarence Curtis Sutton, 73, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on January 1, 1938, son of the late John William and Mildred Rutherford Sutton. He was a sander for 38 years at Cumberland Wood & Chair. He attended and was a member of Newell First Church of God for 60 years, where he served as board member and superintendent. He was also a member of Cuba Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Anderson Sutton, whom he married on February 27, 1965, one daughter, Pam & (Tommy) Acton of Eubank, two grandchildren, Aaron & (Melissa) Acton and Marissa "Sissy" Acton, one great-grandchild, who is soon to arrive, John Jefferson Lee Acton, special "man's best friend", Cinnamon, two aunts, Gladys Trowbridge of Eubank and Hazel Powell of Cleveland, OH, several special nieces and special nephews, cousins and adopted grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Monday, July 18, 2011 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Roberts, Bro. Ray Arnold and Bro. Artman Privett officiating.
Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
