Asberry King, 55, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at his residence.

He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 8, 1957, son of the late Mountie and Juanell Goad King. He was a drywall finisher for A-OK Drywall.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Tatro King of Somerset, five children, Brandy & (Ricky) Cox of Florida, Asberry King and Carrie Cripps, both of Michigan, David Ashton and Jeremy Ashton, both of Eubank, three sisters, Shirley Hoffman of Florida and Debbie & (Dennis) Chambers and Beverly & (Norman) Taylor, both of Michigan, several grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Illesa Ashton, brother-in-law, Ronald Hoffman and two sisters, Patricia King and Katherine Rogers.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Etna Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11 AM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
